Founded in 2022, the Research Center for Underwater Archaeology and Heritage at National Tsing Hua University is the sole institution in Taiwan dedicated to this field.

The center's objectives are to advance the study of underwater archaeology and cultural heritage within Taiwan and beyond, facilitate professional training, interdisciplinary cooperation, and foster international academic exchange.
